Solutions for our Everyday lives

For most of us life has its ups and downs and we rarely get through it without having to face a few challenges along the way. There are numerous sources of support availble to help us through these difficulties but sometimes what people need is something more straight forward and practical that defines a clear solution based outcome

Family

We can't choose our families of course and they are more often than not a source of conflict as well as a source of much love. Resolving disputes can sometimes be made more challenging because of our closeness and as such objective input can be invaluable.

Finance

We live in uncertain times, with the majority of households still feeling the effect of the financial crisis, an increased cost of living and seemingly no job entirely secure. Balancing income can be challenging at the best of times but if circumstances suddenly change it is easy to lose control. Placed in such a situation it can be difficult to see a way out so having an independant source of advice can be very useful.

Personal

Life is made up of endless decisions, the vast majority of which are of little consequence. The important ones however can seem unbelievably hard to make. A new job, a large financial committment, relationship choices, moving home and all those unanticipated decisions that you never thought that you would have to make. We often find that we might have acted differently in hindsight or perhaps if we had the benefit of someone elses advice.

Practical

The wonderful World Wide Web provides us with an amazing source of information and is often the first port of call when we face a practical problem such as where to hire a compactor, how to skim a ceiling or what is the best food processor. There are occasions however where the results of your browsing don't deliver and you need some human input.

Quick TIPS

Should we respect our elders?

Granny or Grandpa may often seem to be out of touch but do they have some pearls of wisdom? Your Mum or Dad may drive you potty sometimes but do they have your best interests at heart? The answer is likely to depend on the source of their advice as if it is as a reuslt of personal experience its probably well worth listening too. Even if you take a different path, at least you have made a more informed decision. You will also have made them feel much happier for being listened too.

The third option

Decision making can often involve balancing the pro's and con's of the available options but are their options that you haven't thought of? Almost certainly the answer will be yes. Test this theory by sharing any dilema with a group of three or more people and you will be amazed at the ideas that the group will come up with for resolving what may have seemed at first a no brainer.

Anything is possible

Whatever the challenge that you face, no matter how complex or frightening, there will be a solution that can result in a good outcome. When we are in the situation it can seem very dark but, if you are in that place, stop for a minute and recall dark times in the past and you will find that they didn't turn out as badly as you had expected. If you can't recall such events, then ask a friend, family member or other confident and they will be only too delighted to share their good news stories.

Source of Inspiration

It may seem a bit out there but if you are looking for some examples of how to deal with life's challenges you might want to check out the stories in the Good Book. There are plenty of sticky situations faced by its characters and some examples of what NOT to do as well as the righteous path.
